• Stage I (Short listing)

The startups will have to submit their Executive Summary about their company and a VC pitch presentation in a specified format by 20^th Sep, 2011. The Executive summary should be submitted along with scanned copies of the proof of documents of registration of the firm. Top 5 teams would be shortlisted.


• Stage 2: Verification

All the shortlisted companies will have to submit scanned copies of all the supporting documents within 10^th Oct, 2011. If any particular team fails to submit, the company in waiting list will get the opportunity.


• The Final Day

All the 5 shortlisted companies will give presentation to a jury panel on 15^th Oct, 2011, who on the basis of the presentation would be awarding points. Apart from the points from jury, the performance would be tested on a few preset parameters. The startups will be awarded based on cumulative points both from company performance and jury scores.

• Results of Finalists will be declared on: 5^th Oct, 2011
• Last date for submission of required documents: 10^th Oct, 2011
• On campus Company Showcase: 15^th Oct, 2011

Rules & Regulations

• The event is open for all Indian citizens subject to eligibility criteria as above.
• The participating team needs to first register on the website and then send the softcopies of following documents:
  
  • Certificate of registration or Proof of Existence of Business ( scanned copy)
  • Executive Summary (in specified format)
  • VC Pitch Presentation
• Entries should be submitted to navkriti.nitie@gmail.com with the subject line Navkriti10_<registration id>_<company name>. All the document files should be sent in a single file winzip archive with the file name as <registration id>_<company name>.zip
• The last date for submission of all entries would be midnight, 20^th Sep, 2011.
• The Executive summary should have a cover page containing Registration ID, the name of the Business/company/firm, name of the participants, e-mail ID and phone number of the participants. This information should not appear in any other part of the report. The cover page will be detached before the entries are given for panel evaluation.
• The presentation should have a first slide containing Registration ID, the name of the Business/company/firm, name of the participants, e-mail ID and phone number of the participants.
• The initial shortlisted companies would need to send the scanned copies of all the documents supporting the claims made in the report by 10^th Oct, 2011.
• The Finalist would be required to come to NITIE campus with detailed presentation of their business/venture on 15^th Oct, 2011.
• The duration of the presentation will be 20 minutes followed by questions and answers.
• The decisions of the organizers and the panel of judges will be final and will be binding on all the participants.

Eligibility

• Any firm or Company that was first registered preferably not more than 3 years ago. Others are still eligible for applying.
• The company needs to be registered with Government of India.
• Only Partnership Firms or Private Ltd. Companies are eligible (Not for NGO’s, Sole Proprietorship, Public companies).
• Companies run by students are not eligible.
